Swedish songstress Zara Larsson made her return to the Today present stage with “Ruin My Life” on Monday (Nov. 5), forward of her forthcoming 2019 album. The 20-year-old pop singer’s newest single finds her eager for an unhealthy relationship.
Larsson stood out from her six-piece band wearing all black by sporting a bleach blonde bob, lavender mini-dress and silver heels. A hazy electrical guitar drove her into the opening verse.
“I miss you pushing me near the sting,” Larsson sang in her velvety voice, “I miss you/ I want I knew what I had after I left/ I miss you.”
The vitality slowly heated up, taking a pause in the course of the first half of the refrain. “I need you to smash my life/ You to smash my life, you to smash my life, yeah,” Larson continued, “I need you to smash my nights/ you to smash my nights, yeah, all of my nights, yeah/ I need you to deliver all of it on/ If you make all of it flawed, that'll make all of it proper, yeah/ I need you to smash my life/ You to smash my life, you to smash my life.”
The sound got here alive, the band enjoying with spirit because the stage lit up in an optimistic yellow hue. The flurry concluded with Larson reaching for a number of final lofty notes as she moved to the music.
“I’m actually residing my dream,” she mentioned within the clip. “I’ve been doing this for such a very long time, and I’m actually excited to have one other track out.”
