Zacari Signs to TDE, Drops First Single ‘Don’t Trip’

TDE has added a brand new member to the household, Zacari.

Taking to Twitter, Top Dawg Entertainment made the official announcement: “Introducing our latest signee to the Roster @zacarip.”

The Bakersfield, Calif. singer, who describes his sound as a “mixture of psychedelic and trill,” made waves together with his look on “LOVE.” off Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy-winning album DAMN.

To have fun the signing, Zacari dropped his debut single, “Don’t Trip.” Produced by J-Louis and Teddy Walton, the laid-back monitor is a style of what’s to return from his upcoming debut EP.

“The entire theme of this mission I’m engaged on is the happier aspect of loneliness,” he instructed Billboard in 2017. “It’s only a brighter aspect of loneliness. I do know that there are lots of people that, once they’re alone, they will’t deal with it. But that is about not being so depending on others and different issues, and with the ability to be comfortable once you’re by your self, once you’re in your personal head, and once you’re in your personal ideas.”

In addition to showing on the 4x platinum “LOVE.” Zacari could be heard on “Redemption” off Black Panther: The Album, and has collaborated together with his fellow TDE artists together with Ab-Soul (“RAW (backwards)”) and Isaiah Rashad (“Wat’s Wrong”).

Zacari joins others TDE signees together with SZA, Jay Rock, Reason, Lance Skiiiwalker, and SiR.
