Young Thug Internet Rumor Has Fans Flooding Walmart & Filling Their Carts

Atlanta, GA – Young Thug fans in Atlanta were convinced Thugger was generous enough to pay for everyone’s holiday purchases at a local Walmart on Tuesday (November 30), but it turns out they fell prey to an internet rumor.

A video posted to social media shows Young Thug fans flooding the Walmart, grabbing as many items as they can and waiting in long lines with new televisions and other goods.

“We waitin’ on Thug,” the person taking the video can be heard saying. “Thug, man, you better bring your something man, cause this shit here is a catastrophe.”

The video caption read, “Young Thug was allegedly suppose to pay for everybody stuff at the Walmart on Cleveland Ave. We don’t see anything he or his PR team put out.”

It’s unclear how the rumor got started, but needless to say, Young Thug never showed up, so many of these fans were forced to put their goods back on the shelves.

While the Atlanta-bred rapper was tagged in the Instagram video, chances are high he wouldn’t have seen it. On November 11, he admitted to his Instagram followers he largely avoids social media because it makes him depressed.

“Bro, I just noticed like when I look at the Internet, when I look at Instagram and like you know Twitter and shit, I get depressed bro,” Young Thug said in the black-and-white video. “This shit is like burnt the fuck out, bro. This shit depressing.”

Many fans in the comment section were quick to agree with Young Thug, but the same can’t be said for Offset. The Migos rapper admitted in October he was addicted to Instagram after Facebook’s six-hour blackout.

“Damn, I just noticed I’m addicted to Instagram,” he said at the time.
