Yeezy Season is officially upon us. On Thursday (Sept. 5), Kanye West confirmed on his website that his ninth solo studio album, Jesus Is King, arrives Sept. 27.
Last week, his wife Kim Kardashian broke the internet after releasing a track-list that consisted of 12 songs with the title Jesus Is King written on a notebook. In recent months, West has widened his musical palette, leaning more on the gospel side with his weekly Sunday Service programs.
The series, which began in January, includes West performing classic cuts with a choir. Ye even took his army of gospel virtuosos to Coachella to play this past Easter. There, he previewed several new songs, including "Water" and "Garden."
Jesus Is King will serve as the follow-up to West's 2018 project, Ye. Initially, the G.O.O.D. Music superstar was aiming to release Yandhi last September but opted to shift the focus to this Sunday Service series.
Be on the lookout, as Jesus Is King drops Sept. 27.
