Now that BTS is back to work, this fall will experience the expected cluster of K-pop tracks from the global genre’s most-known and up-and-coming entertainers.

K-pop giant BTS has collaborated with Halsey on “Boy With Luv,” Nicki Minaj on “IDOL” and Desiigner on “MIC Drop,” spurring the common cross-cultural trend of K-pop acts collaborating with American artists. Fellow K-pop boy band NCT 127 teamed up with Ava Max on her “So Am I” power anthem in July.

Blackpink, whose fans range from Ariana Grande to Harry Styles, is also another popular contender in the K-pop department, as the girl group recently overthrew One Direction as the group with the most YouTube subscribers (30.1 million), according to The Straits Times.

But rising stars will shift who has the most powerful releases this season, as the all-female quintet ITZY released one of the biggest K-pop songs of 2019 back in March, “Dalla Dalla,” and the 12-woman IZ*ONE had their debut EP COLOR*IZ peak at No. 9 on the World Albums chart. This all happened in a one-year span for these two emerging groups, but they’re no longer rookies.

So which K-pop group will take the lead this fall? Vote below!
