Hip Hop’s latest blooming rapper Tekashi69 was arrested on Sunday for his involvement with a violent US gang. The Nine Trey Bloods, are a New York based gang, also known as TreyWay and Tekashi69 has been involved with them for a while now. While Tekashi has had many slips where he could’ve been jailed, it looks like this time there’s no escape from the judgement. According to a prosecuting US attorney, the rapper faces 32 years in jail for racketeering and other offences.
Tekashi was previously charged with other crimes, including child sex offences in 2015, but experts believe the racketeering charges could mean a lengthy jail spell for the star.
According to US reports, the new arrest relates to a five-year federal investigation and Tekashi69 is also facing a number of other charges including drug dealing, involvement in an armed robbery and a conspiracy to commit murder charge.None of the rappers previous charges have stopped his fame from growing, but this just might determine his career’s faith. Just last month, the rapper had announced that he would be cutting off negative people from his life, in order to focus on his career and take it to the next level. Well, it looks like his plans might have to hold for another while. Possibly 32 years… or a lifetime!
