Watch the Queens of 1980s New York Twirl, Serve and Work the Runway in New Trailer For FX's 'Pose'


Even though it’s not out yet, Ryan Murphy’s new FX series Pose has already made history. The upcoming show, focused around the ballroom scene 1980s New York City, boasts the largest cast transgender actors ever put on television — five transgender actors will be a part the show’s series regular cast.

Now, we get to see this record-breaking cast go to work in a new trailer for the upcoming show. The stunning trailer shows a tribe New York City ballroom stars honing their craft and navigating their personal lives by day, while slaying the underground runways and serving up some amazing looks by night.

The new trailer also gives us our first look at Murphy regular Evan Peters’ character — a Wall Street worker dating a character played by Kate Mara who starts to fall in love with a transgender woman (played by Indya Moore). “What do you want out life?” Peters asks. “I want to be treated like anyone else,” Moore responds.

According to the show’s ficial website, Pose will explore “the juxtaposition several segments life and society in New York: the ball culture world, the rise the luxury Trump-era universe and the downtown social and literary scene.”
