Jimmy Fallon may have finally met his match in "Beat Battle" on Wednesday night (May 22) when Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown matched him song-for-song and absolutely crushed it in the game where contestants have to come up with songs to match The Roots' random beat without missing a cue.
She didn't trip, slip or stumble. In fact, Brown busted out bits of songs by everyone from Lorde to Carly Rae Jepsen and Lizzo as she easily kept up with the notoriously music-savvy Tonight Show host.
The friendly competition started off nice enough, with Fallon dropping a verse of the Backstreet Boys' "I Want it That Way," which sparked a bit of Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" from Brown and a parry of Hall & Oates' "Rich Girl" from Fallon.
Then it was a dizzying back and forth: Lorde's "Royals" (Brown), Mark Morrison's "Return of the Mack" (Fallon), Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" (Brown), Post Malone and Swae Lee's "Sunflower" (Fallon), Shawn Mendes' "If I Can't Have You" (Brown) and Third Eye Blind's "Semi-Charmed Life." It was clear Fallon wasn't going to sprint away with this one, but the pair kept at it, running through bits of songs by Panic! at the Disco, Zedd, Fleetwood Mac, Wilson Phillips, Justin Bieber and, of course, Kenny Rogers.
