After nabbing the likes of Jay-Z and former president Barack Obama for the inaugural season of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, the former late-night host is poised to make bigger waves the second time around. In a new trailer for season 2, one of Letterman's upcoming guests will be Kanye West.
The two-minute trailer finds Letterman stumping West about about the invention of zippers and Velcro, while later exploring the MC's bipolar disorder.
"When you're bipolar, you have a potential to ramp up, and it could take you to a point where you start acting erratic, as TMZ would put it," quipped West. Along with West, Letterman will also sit down with Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Melinda Gates and Lewis Hamilton.
On season 1, during Letterman's interview with Jay-Z, the Brooklyn-bred rapper candidly spoke about Trump's presidency, saying: “What he's forcing people to do is have a conversation and band together and work together. You can’t really address something that’s not revealed. He’s bringing out an ugly side of America that we wanted to believe was gone, but it’s still here and we still gotta deal with it. We have to have the tough conversations; we have to talk about the N-word, we have to talk about why white men are so privileged in this country.”
