Walter Kolm to Receive Ambassador Of Peace Award From Creative Community For Peace

Walter Kolm president of WK Entertainment, will be honored with the “Ambassador of Peace” award from the Creative Community For Peace organization, Billboard has learned.

Kolm, who started his own company WK Entertainment in 2012 and represents Latin stars such as Maluma, Carlos Vives, Wisin, and CNCO will join four other honorees in this year’s gala, Aaron Bay-Schuck (CEO/Co-Chairman Warner Records); Jacqueline Saturn (President, Caroline Music/CMG); Troy Carter (Founder of Q&A and Atom Factory) and legendary recording artist Ziggy Marley.

“Throughout my career as a label executive and now the owner of a management company, I have always believed that music should remain independent from any other political or financial issues,” says the 2018 Billboard Latin Player Executive of the Year. "It should be available to all people in every single country of the world as a vehicle for enjoyment, expression, and inspiration."

Based in Los Angeles, Creative Community for Peace is an apolitical organization formed by a select group of entertainment professionals who are dedicated to supporting artistic freedom and countering the cultural boycott of Israel.

“I am delighted to be receiving the ‘Ambassador of Peace’ award,” said Kolm.
