Billie Joe Armstrong took discover of Vince Staples' Green Day-inspired album artwork, and he approves. Staples launched his third album FM! final week, and the album paintings bears a hanging similarity to the paintings of Green Day's breakout 1994 album, Dookie.
The FM! cowl, which incorporates the album title rising out of the waves over a festive seashore, is a riff on the word-explosion-over-partiers scene of the Dookie artwork. Both album covers seem to have been drawn with coloured crayons.
