Vic Mensa Teases Upcoming Collaboration With Chance the Rapper & Valee, Criticizes Kanye West For 'Telling Untruths' in New Interview

‘To hear him tell complete untruths in this situation was definitely frustrating,’ Mensa said West’s recent controversial comments.
Vic Mensa crept back onto the music scene earlier this month with the release Marshmello's “Reverse” featuring the Chicago rapper and G-Eazy. In a new interview with Beats 1 radio personality Ebro Darden, Vic Mensa teased that he has some new music on the horizon, including several cuts with his “brother” Chance the Rapper and Valee.
Speaking on his history with Chance, Vic Mensa reminisced about how their pre-fame days made them closer. “That's my brother through and through,” Mensa said. “There was times when me and Chano ain't have bus fare and the Milwaukee Ave. bus ain't running, so we sleeping sideways in somebody's abandoned car. I've been through a lot shit with Chance and brothers fight but] that's been over with for some time now.”
Darden then pressed Mensa about whether he and Chance will collaborate in the future, to which Mensa responded, “One hundred percent. We been in the studio plenty times. We got a couple really dope records; actually, there was a record that me, Chance, and Valee did at one my cribs in Chicago. That's my bro, we be linking all the time.”
Mensa also shared his thoughts on fellow Chicagoan Kanye West's MAGA hat saga back in May and admitted that he wasn't a fan Kanye's antics. “I don't like it. I've learned so much from Kanye,” he added. “When Kanye speaks, we listen because he's been known to really tell the truth so to hear him tell complete untruths in this situation was definitely frustrating and is frustrating.”
Mensa and Valee recently teamed up for “Dim Sum” ahead Valee's G.O.O.D Music debut G.O.O.D Job, You Found Me.
