UFC's Polyana Viana Beats Up Would Be Mugger In Brazil: Photos


UFC fighter Polyana Viana beat the brakes off a would-be mugger in Brazil this previous weekend, after the person approached her and demanded her mobile phone. 

As seen within the instagram submit shared by UFC President Dana White, that was a #badfuckingidea.

Viana, 26, instructed MMAJunkie she was ready for a ride-share in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday evening when the incident occurred. She described how she hit the person with “two punches and a kick” earlier than putting the suspect in a rear-naked choke and holding him till police arrived. 

“When he noticed I noticed him, he sat subsequent to me,” Viana instructed MMAJunkie. “He requested me the time. I mentioned it, and I noticed he wasn’t going to depart. So, I already moved to place my cellphone in my waist. And then he mentioned, ‘Give me the cellphone. Don’t attempt to react, as a result of I am armed.’ Then he put his hand over [a gun], however I noticed it was too gentle.

“He was actually near me. So, I believed, ‘If it is a gun, he will not have time to attract it.’ So, I stood up. I threw two punches and a kick. He fell, then I caught him in a rear-naked choke. Then I sat him down in the identical place we had been earlier than and mentioned, ‘Now we’ll watch for the police.'”

Viana (10-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) doesn’t have any fights scheduled to this point in 2019. She final fought at UFC 227, wherein she suffered a choice loss to J.J. Aldrich.
