Tyga stopped by The L.A. Leakers on Monday (Aug. 6), and decided to bless the world with a hard-hitting freestyle over YG and Mustard's "Big Bank," boasting that his rapping ability remains as sharp as it was when he first broke into hip-hop north a decade ago.
The 28-year-old copped one the first LeBron James Lakers jerseys earlier this summer and seems to be inspired by the rejuvenated basketball scene surrounding him in Los Angeles. "Bad bitches 'round, I'ma flirt/And I'm going for my eighth like Kerr/Do you concur/Catch me if you can lil purp/I go Kyrie, Curry on the verse," he rhymed, later giving shout-outs to Celtics legend Larry Bird and Michael Jordan.
The Compton native even recognizes his return to prominence by referencing the "sunken place" scene from the critically acclaimed Get Out, which he claims to be free from once his relationship with famed reality star Kylie Jenner broke f in 2017. "I love HOV but I still gotta bang 'Ether'/Believe it or not, came back from the sunken and now I'm cream the crop," Tyga raps.
T-Raww — who's coming f the fresh success his raunchy "Taste" cracking the Billboard Hot 100's top 10; the platinum banger currently sits at No. 9 — looks to keep the summer on smash. He implemented an intoxicating formula similar to that used on the Offset-assisted "Taste" with the follow-up track "Swish," which was released to close out last month (July 25). Tyga began his revival earlier in 2018 with the release his vulnerable Kyoto album in February.
