With Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih's MihTy project suffering another delay, the talented singers have decided to unleash a new cut from their heavily anticipated joint effort on Friday (Aug. 24). The duo called on Lil Wayne for an assist to help power the Hitmaka-produced "New Level."
Hitmaka kicks f the tune by sampling smooth vocals from Dru Hill's sultry 1996 hit "In My Bed." Ty and the Chicago native then steer the track the rest the way. "Ice up on the check the bezel/ Rocky, rocky, fruity pebble/ Do you realize this is what you got?/ Don't tell me you second guessin' now," Dolla $ign croons on the opening verse.
Weezy takes the baton from both "The Light" artists and implements a speedy flow almost too fast for the original beat to catch up with. "You was sick from having sleepin' with the devil/ Leave him in the desert come to warm weather/ No more stormy weather, I ain't got umbrella/ I got palm and the trees even wetter," the 35-year-old swiftly rhymes.
MihTy is now left without an ficial release date after being pushed back from Friday once again. The much-delayed collaborative project is slated to hold 10 tracks featuring production exclusively by Hitmaka and guest appearances from Chris Brown and French Montana.
