On Monday (June 9), Troye Sivan joined the panel  Australian news program The Project to break down some the lyrics from his forthcoming record Bloom, set to be released on Aug. 31.

When one anchor references his Ariana Grande collaboration “Dance To This,” asking for clarification on the lyric “do that thing we never do sober," Sivan notes that he frequently gets asked about that line.

“When I was talking to Ariana about which part she was gonna sing, I was like, ‘You can change any lyrics or whatever,’” Sivan says. “And when I got back her singing that lyric, I literally cracked up laughing.”

Another anchor wastes no time, reciting lyrics from the much-speculated title track “Bloom,” to which Sivan responds bluntly: "It’s about sex.” Bombarded with interrogative questions, he nervously laughs, jokingly wishing to take it all back.

“Suddenly I regret all this,” Sivan says. “I regret putting out the album. I wish I never did it.”

In the clip, Troye also talks about feeling starstruck performing with Taylor Swift and grounding himself with his hometown friends in Perth. Check it out below.
