Troye Sivan & Charli XCX Recreate 'Titanic,' TLC, Slim Shady and More Iconic '90s Moments in '1999' Video

Troye Sivan and Charli XCX need you to social gathering prefer it’s, oh, you recognize.

Fresh off performing "1999" stay at Radio City Music Hall, the duo has debuted a nostalgic video for his or her collaborative jam immediately (Oct. 11), and it performs out like a Y2K fantasy of essentially the most epic proportions.

The Ryan Staake and Charli XCX-directed video jam-packs nearly each iconic ‘90s throwback into three-and-a-half minutes. Charli leans in, cosplaying as Left Eye-circa-“Waterfalls,” all 5 of the Spice Girls, and…Steve Jobs when he debuted the iMac. For good measure, she recreates the legendary rose petal scene from American Beauty.

Sivan doesn’t slouch on the millennial references both, rocking Justin Timberlake’s noodly locks and giving us Slim Shady realness.

They even recreate Jack and Rose from Titanic, Neo and Trinity, and Sim variations of themselves. A few re-watches are required to identify all the basic '90s iconography, however they're actually dedicated to reliving the dial-up aesthetic.
