As Pride Month approaches, Troye Sivan and Charli XCX announced the lineup for their first annual Go West Fest, a one-day Pride music festival held in Los Angeles, on Tuesday (May 14).
The duo curated the lineup for the new festival, including openly queer acts like Carlie Hanson, Leland, Dorian Electra, Gia Gunn, Quay Dash, Chika and Pussy Riot, along with fierce allies like Allie X and Charli. The event will also feature a number of dance sets to get fans moving, featuring up-and-coming DJs like Baby Uniq, Alima Lee and K.O. AKA Koala.
Along with providing new music that fans can groove to, the event will also feature a number of artistic offerings; Los Angeles-based nonprofit art gallery Junior High will curate the Go West Fest Artist Circle, a space at the festival showcasing emerging LGBTQ artists in Los Angeles.
The event will also be benefiting an LGBTQ organization — along with performing at and co-hosting the event with Charli XCX, Sivan is set to donate a portion of the proceeds from the festival to GLAAD. Bud Light, one of the event’s sponsors, will also be selling their Pride bottles, which also benefits the organization.
Go West Fest will take place on Thursday, June 6 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles at 7 p.m. PST. Tickets for the event go on sale Friday (May 17) at 10 a.m. PST.
