Troy Ave's '2 Legit 2 Quit' Video Sparks Huge Debate on Twitter

Troy Ave has been quiet as late, but his latest single and video “2 Legit 2 Quit” as sparked a huge debate on Twitter over some his lyrics on the song.

The lyrics in question has the Brooklyn rhymer alluding that he will be taking the stand and testifying against Taxstone over the death his bodyguard and friend Ronald “Banga” McPhatter during the infamous Irving Plaza shooting in 2016.

“I’m only loyal to my fam, middle finger from the stand, it’s either me or you,” Troy raps.

The line has fans on Twitter calling Troy Ave a snitch and a hypocrite. However, some people empathize with the BSB leader and feel that he shouldn’t take the fall for something he didn't do.

"Troy Ave is a rapper…. Y'all holding him to standards y'all shouldn't be holding him to… Stop believing these rappers, they're ALL liars," wrote one fan.

Another person tweeted, "Y'all callin troy ave a snitch cuz he was finna get time for something he didn’t do? Yeah yall niggas fools."

While Troy Ave has been cleared murder charges, he is still facing charges illegal possession a firearm. Meanwhile, Taxstone was indicted on murder charges and is now facing up to 20 years in prison.
