Tove Lo is sick of being lonely, and in her latest video, she's taking action.
On Wednesday (Oct. 23), Lo released her lyric video for "Sweettalk My Heart," her latest single off of her new album Sunshine Kitty. In the video, Lo continues her karaoke-style videos, and is seen in two vignettes. Both taking place in her bedroom, the star dances on her own, while wishing she had someone else there to sway with. "Just let me know ya, we can go far/ Don't turn your shoulder, get colder, keep me warm," she sings.
The new clip serves as a companion piece to the song's official music video (which Lo released last month), where the singer is seen thrashing around an apartment while trying to break through an invisible barrier — only to be confronted with a doppelganger of herself, who she proceeds to dance with.
In a statement released with the song, Lo explained the origin of the lyrics and how they convey a relationship where she's asking her lover to lie to her. "'Sweettalk my Heart' is weirdly my happy love song," she said. "It’s about believing what you’re both feeling in the present – that you’ll love each other forever. It might be naive, but I think that’s good. Being realistic about love makes it impossible to fully feel it.”
