The song is the first track from a forthcoming Spanish-language project, El Agua, to be released later this year.
Tory Lanez goes Latin! The Canadian rapper joined forces with Puerto Rican superstar Ozuna to release “Pa Mi,” his first song ever in Spanish. The song is the first track from the forthcoming Spanish-language project El Agua, to be released later this year.
“I wanted to do a Spanish-language album for all my Spanish and Latin fans,” Lanez said in a press statement. “I want to be the biggest artist in the world, and I’m not letting anything stand in my way…not even language barriers. Ozuna was naturally who fit the vibe best. I’m going full in on this…it’s not just a side project.”
“Pa Mi” is a very fresh and danceable song that mixes st rhythms reggaeton and Caribbean sounds that are very unique to Ozuna, which makes Lanez's voice fit well.
The song is the first new music from Lanez since the release his March album Memories Don’t Die, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and earned 54,000 equivalent album units in its first week, according to Nielsen Music.
Last month, Ozuna was crowned top Latin artist at the Billboard Music Awards and won top Latin album with his debut project Odisea.
Lanez is now touring North America and is set to visit Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Philadelphia, among other cities.
