Daddy Yankee has been unstoppable in 2019, creating hit after hit. His most recent is “Que Tire Pa’ Lante,” an uptempo reggaeton and dancehall song about a girl who is a great dancer whom he compliments by asking “que tire pa’ lante?,” asking her to flaunt more of her dance moves.
In less than a month, the music video has officially reached more than 100 million views on YouTube. Yankee celebrated Tuesday (Nov. 5) by posting a video on Instagram and asking his fans to post the flag emoji from their country. “Raise your flag if you’re part of these first 100,” he expressed.
On the Billboard charts, “Que Tire Pa Lante” debuted at No. 10 on the Hot Latin Songs chart dated Nov. 2, marking Yankee’s 30th top 10. He now breaks from a three-way tie for the third-most top 10s on the tally, trailing Luis Miguel (39) and Enrique Iglesias (38).
In true Yankee fashion, the new single, which premiered Oct. 17 during the 2019 Latin American Music Awards, has become a global sensation, making people of all ages and cultures dance to the infectious beat.
