‘The Voice’ Winner Alisan Porter Makes Her Comeback With Colorful, Carefree ‘Wild One’ Exclusive

After winning season 10 of The Voice in 2016, singer-songwriter Alisan Porter took a break from the spotlight. But she’s back with an urgency in the music video for single “Wild One," premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Aug. 8).

Directed by Jen Rosenstein and edited by Lucas Wilde, the video sees Porter sporting several colorful jacket and sunglasses combinations. She dances along to the catchy tune, as if alone in front of her bedroom mirror.

Complete with split screens, glitter and roses, Porter urges listeners to "be the wild one too" with a charming country-pop flair all her own.

"'Wild One' is about being unapologetically free to be yourself. To embrace all the unique and out of control parts of you, but also know where your boundaries are," Porter tells Billboard. "It's about accepting and loving all the things that make you human, and the parts of you that are a little different. I want everyone to be bravely themselves and feel freedom in that!"

Porter’s sassy, carefree attitude in the video sets the tone for upcoming album Pink Cloud — her first full-length since 2014 — out on Sep. 13 her own record label, AliSan Porter. With the project being described as her “comeback record of truth,” Porter is ready to ring in a new era of her career.
