Kesha has never held back from rocking out on stage or in song, but The Struts just gave her the chance to be a full-on rock star. The British glam rock band recruited the "Woman" singer for a revamped version their latest single "Body Talks," and it's the perfect mix edgy and catchy.
Along with the electric new version the vivacious track, The Struts also filmed a "Body Talks" video with Kesha. The red-and-gold glittered video plays up the song's body theme in a bawdy way, incorporating bananas, roosters, cherries and suggestively licked ice cream cones. Innuendos aside, Kesha and The Struts seem to be having one hell a time singing the energetic rock tune.
The Struts initially released "Body Talks" on their own back in June, which marks the first single from the group's forthcoming sophomore album. The first video for the song documented The Struts' summer visit to the U.K., including a sold-out show at London's Koko. While the song and video were high-energy to begin with, Kesha helped take it to another level.
There's no set release date for The Struts' forthcoming LP, but the group is setting out on a headlining North American trek this fall that's named after their latest single. The Body Talks Tour kicks f in Detroit on Sept. 21 and will make 30 stops all across the U.S. before wrapping in San Francisco on Nov. 9. Who knows whether Kesha will pop up at one or more the shows, but never say never.
