The Strumbellas Promise to ‘Wait’ it Out in New Exclusive

Nothing reassures quite like a commitment made with unflinching eye contact, and that is exactly what The Strumbellas offer in the video for their rousing single “I’ll Wait,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (March 29).

“The idea behind the video for ‘I’ll Wait’ was simply what we thought would be the best visual representation of the song — lots of colors, lots of emotion and the band on the place that defines them best, on stage,” lead singer Simon Ward tells Billboard. “We were inspired by Sinead O’Connor’s video for ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and we really just tried to show a passionate performance of us playing the song.”

The visual, directed by Christopher Warre Smets, captures the Canadian six-piece in the throes of a fully charged, confetti-strewn set, making a final, wholehearted pledge at night’s end. The song’s earnest message is maintained by confessional-style shots of the band members amidst the revelry and furor of their celebratory surroundings.

As for the band, they leave nearly everything they’ve got on-stage with just enough left in the tank at the end of the party to prove that they’re company worth counting on.

The video coincides with today’s release of The Strumbellas’ fourth album Rattlesnake Glassnote Records.
