South Korea-based band The Rose returned today with their first release of 2019 this week, putting out the single "RED" on Tuesday (Aug. 13).
A sweeping pop-rock song that leans more heavily into electronic elements than much of The Rose’s earlier fare, “RED” is a euphoric summertime anthem celebrating the passion of youth and freedom. It was released through a music video that features the four members of the band as they perform and play around together, hanging out on the beach, exploring the world, and lighting up the night with their celebratory revels.
Along with the single, the song was released with B-side “California,” an anthemic English-language song about the freeing environment of California and living in the moment.
“RED” is the first song from The Rose since the finale of JTBC’s Super Band, a South Korean television show during which lead singer Woosung, also known as Sammy, rose to prominence. Earlier this summer, he released his solo single "FACE."
The Rose are set to hit up several Stateside cities in coming weeks.
