The-Dream Spreads Love With Sultry NPR Tiny Desk Concert Performance: Watch

When The-Dream released his 40-track Ménage à Trois: Sextape Vol. 1, 2, 3 project back in December, he probably didn't picture himself performing the sultry tunes in a cluttered office space, but that is exactly what ended up happening.

The-Dream made his way to NPR's Washington, D.C. office for a three-song set as the latest installment of their famed Tiny Desk concert series, uploaded on Friday (Aug. 30).

The Atlanta-bred crooner even admitted how tough it was to nail the performance in the brightly sun-lit room. "It's kinda hard to sing like that with the daylight out," he joked. The-Dream and his melodious live band would power through their smooth set that included cuts such as the steamy "Bedroom," "Back In Love," and Love Hate's "I Luv Your Girl."

With over a decade in the music game, The-Dream explained the essence of his music at this point in his decorated career. "I can’t compete with what’s new, people expect certain things from me, whether they wanna admit it or not, but nobody can ever say I’ve made a shitty record or ever made an album with fillers," the accomplished songwriter previously told Billboard. "That’s not ever anything that I want to do, that’s me letting my core down and the core of R&B down."
