The Chainsmokers, Ty Dolla Sign & Bulow Brood on the Beat in ‘Do You Mean’: Watch

75

New relationships are hard when you've got a lot of baggage. If youre not careful, the past can choke any future before you even get started. The Chainsmokers know that feeling all too well, and the dance-pop duo channel their frustrations in a brooding pop ballad with Ty Dolla $ign and Bülow called "Do You Mean."

Lyrically, it's the age-old tale of saying mean things in the moment that you wish you could take back. Musically, it's classic Chainsmokers with a touch of Drake's love-sick meloncholy. Ty Dolla $ign handles the chorus with trademark silkiness, while German pop singer Bülow plays the role of over-it girlfriend.

"Do You Mean" is the third single from the duo's growing album World War Joy. Songs will be added to the LP in growing succession as singles, until the album has been fully released. The release is accompanies by a high-style lyric video full of fashionable imagery of women eating Cuban link chains or like Chinese noodles and The Chainsmokers looking solemn.

The duo will hit the road in support of the evolving album from late September through early December. Tickets are on sale now. Check the World Way Joy tour dates and watch "Do You Mean" below.
