The Band Perry Drops Mystical Video For ‘The Good Life’: Watch

The Band Perry’s latest song “The Good Life” paints the dark picture of a relationship that ends with infidelity. The trio’s new video for the song, released on Monday (July 29), shows the aftermath of that deception as Kimberly Perry stars in the mystical visual as a woman attempting to get over the relationship.

Covered in an eerie red light, Perry’s ethereal vocals are at the forefront of the track. She's seen driving away from a bad relationship in a car while three women wearing angel wings are spotted in the backseat. The song’s somber lyrics come to life as Perry cruises into the mountains at dusk: “I don’t want an explanation/ I don’t want to still be friends/ I just want to break your neck,” she croons.

She moves on from the relationship with the help of a bonfire in the woods and her brothers beside her. As the metamorphosis continues, the Perrys are engulfed in smoke and surrounded by dark figures also wearing angel wings. “Tonight’s the last night I’m gonna waste my damn good life on you,” she sings at the song’s end.

The three siblings – Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry – penned the song with Owen Thomas, with production by ARTRAT. "The Good Life" is their latest new track, with more songs expected from their forthcoming album in the coming months.

The Band Perry will embark on their The Good Life tour this fall. Watch the video for “The Good Life” below.
