The upcoming Avengers 4 is being described as the end the current era the beloved MCU franchise, and the beginning something new. Disney’s CEO Bob Iger confirms that the upcoming cinematic epic will not cap f the series that has legions fans worldwide and the box-fice receipts to prove it.
Igers recently teased what’s in store for the Avengers following Thanos’ destructive reign terror throughout the universe. “We meet on a regular basis with our Marvel team, and we’ve plotted out Marvel movies that will take us well into the next decade. I’m guessing we will try our hand at what I’ll call a new franchise beyond Avengers, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t see more Avengers down the road. We just haven’t made any announcements about that.”
Igers continues to note how Infinity War came as a conclusion to a narrative arc that commenced in the first Iron Man film from 2008 despite it being released a decade afterwards. “Given the popularity the characters and given the popularity the franchise, I don’t think people should conclude there will never be another Avengers movie.”
