Teyana Taylor delivers lulls and lustful lyrics in her latest track titled "Morning," featuring fellow R&B songstress Kehlani, and the two working together might just steam up your screen because the music video also arrived today (Nov. 1). "Morning" is the second song to precede Taylor's highly anticipated next record The Album, following her toe-curling "How You Want It?" track with King Combs.
The Harlem multihyphenate plays no games in the "Morning" video, as the B&W pictures she pins up in a darkroom feature herself triumphantly crooning, "I just want to lah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ahve on you." Kehlani pulls up behind her, using her red satin-gloved hand to brush Taylor's hair back from her shoulders, and the rendezvous continues in the darkroom itself and other milieus.
Each artist has released a number of -positive numbers before collaborating on this one — Taylor's repertoire includes the ballroom banger "WTP" off her last album K.T.S.E. from 2018, whereas the Oakland native asserts a flirty, yet fiery energy on tracks like "Distraction" from her 2017 SweetSexySavage LP — but "Morning" surpasses the caliber of sensual R&B these two already have under their cinched belts.
With each touch and tease of a kiss, Taylor and Kehlani continue to build their ual tension for their fans all the way inside their wet-n-wild hook-up in the pool. From there, Kehlani's vocals soar into purely sultry territory. "And I'm a little bark but I'm all bite / I'm tryna eat you and I'm tryna kiss you / 'Cause I know you're freaky and I wanna taste you," she commands in her verse.
