T-Pain To Interview Rae Sremmurd + His Verzuz Winner Lil Jon On New Podcast

There’s no questioning T-Pain’s impact on the Hip Hop scene during his run between the mid-’00s to the early 2010s. He’ll be forever known for popularizing Auto-Tune in Hip Hop and providing fans with various hits in his 17-year career. But it looks like T-Pain wants to leave an impact in another market.

On Tuesday (May 25), Deadline reported T-Pain will be dropping a new video podcast series appropriately titled Nappy Boy Radio on June 3. The latest podcast announcement comes after the Florida rapper/singer signed a deal with LiveXLive Media’s podcast platform, PodcastOne. The idea for the show came from a simple observation by T-Pain.

“Too many conversations and interactions I was having with various people kept ending in the same way, with me saying ‘damn, we should have recorded that’,” T-Pain said in a statement. “So we decided to do just that and launch the Nappy Boy Radio podcast. Partnering with PodcastOne, a company that is talent first’, was a no-brainer for us.”

The president of PodcastOne, Kit Gray, voiced her excitement with the new deal saying T-Pain has what it takes to give the people everything they want to hear.

“At PodcastOne, we seek hosts who are charismatic and engaging with something to say that audiences want to hear,” Gray said in the statement. “T-Pain is all that and more. His innate curiosity and interest in the world around him and the people who live in it offers up endless possibilities for show content and we cannot wait to launch Nappy Boy Radio with T-Pain.”

Nappy Boy Radio will have T-Pain sitting down with several guests such as Mike Tyson, Jazzy Pha, Slim Jxmmi and Lil Jon for a deep dive into the world of music, gaming, exotic cars, tech, and alcoholic beverages. Hopefully, T-Pain can make up for all those DMs he realized he never checked in April and have some of those people join him on his podcast.
