SZA Accepts Rule Breaker Award at HipHopMagz Women in Music 2018


On Thursday night time (Dec. 6), SZA walked away with the "Rule Breaker" award at Billboard's Women in Music 2018 in New York City.

Before the TDE songstress graciously accepted the celebrated honor, she watched Anderson .Paak bathe her with glowing reward when he spoke on their first encounter on the 2014 Enter the Void Tour. "SZA is a gutsy girl who's already in management," exclaimed .Paak.

After his rousing introduction, a video montage displayed a bevy of stars, together with Keyshia Cole, celebrating SZA's expertise and rebelliousness as an artist. "SZA's imperfectly good," Cole gushed through the CTRL's singer video reel.

Following the montage, .Paak introduced SZA her award, as she thanked her dad and mom and grandmother who had been all in attendance. "I'm simply so grateful for everybody having endurance with me," she stated throughout her speech. 

The singer additionally thanked TDE's CEO, Top Dawg, for not dropping her from the label, whereas additionally crediting TDE;s president, Terrence "Punch" Henderson, for "having a coronary heart of gold" throughout her early profession struggles.
