Super Junior, Nu’Est, N.Flying and More K-Pop Stars Cancel Events in Wake of Sulli Death


A number of K-pop's leading lights have canceled events planned for Monday night (Oct. 14) out of respect for late singer/actress Sulli, 25, who was found dead in her apartment earlier in the day.

Among those paying tribute were former f(x) bandmate Amber J. Liu, who tweeted that "due to recent events I'll be putting on hold my upcoming activities. Sorry everyone." 

Among others canceling events are Super Junior, who were planning a V Live broadcast in honor of their Time_Slip comeback effort, "Good morning. Label SJ. The music video of SUPER JUNIOR's 9th album title song 'SUPER Clap', which was scheduled to be released at 6 PM today, was unfortunately postponed to 00:00 on October 17," read a tweet from the group. "Thank you for your patience."

BTOB's Hyunsik was canceled a V Live broadcast slated for Tuesday (Oct. 15), while NFlying canceled a broadcast slated for Tuesday to celebrate their 6th mini album, Yaho, Nu'Est moved a Jam Live appearance from Tuesday to Friday (Oct. 18) and SF9's Youngbin pulle dout of a V Live broadcast that was scheduled to air Monday night. Also pushing back planned releases were Kang Daniel and Iz*One, though the acts did not specifically mention Sulli's death in announcing their change of plans.
