Stray Cats Will Record First Album in 25 Years


The band can also be prepping for a 2019 tour.

Marking their 40th anniversary, Stray Cats (Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom) introduced on Tuesday (Oct. 16) that they are going to be releasing a brand new album and tour dates in 2019.     

Heading to the studio to file their first new album in 25 years, the legendary rock trio is worked up for a brand new period.

"Making a brand new Stray Cats album for 2019 in Nashville looks like the precise proper factor, proper time, proper place, and proper band for the gig! We have an album's value of latest songs which can be traditional rockabilly whereas holding the music and magnificence present and recent, like all the time," drummer Slim Jim shared in a press launch.


"Forty years in the past, us three youngsters began just a little band to play a musical model that had lengthy since handed, and most folk had by no means heard of. Forty years later we stand collectively and nonetheless get that very same thrill and exhilaration from the music. The traditional band can also be planning a tour for 2019, following a brief 2018 North American run that marked their first reveals in 10 years.
