Stanaj asked his fans to message him one thing they love about themselves. Some of the responses now make up a large portion of his latest video “Love Me,” premiering exclusively Billboard today (June 28).
The video sees the artist painting the messages from his fans on a blank wall. “I get to save people’s lives,” one reads. “I love my resilience,” another says. At first, Stanaj is singing in a dark room, but then it lights up and the messages are illuminated.
The song is an empowering anthem that exemplifies Stanaj’s bone-chilling falsetto and pure heart. “Love me when I’m gone/ Hold me when I’m not strong,” he sings.
“’Love Me’ is a song about loving yourself,” the L.A.-based singer/songwriter/producer tells Billboard of the celebratory visual. “Sometimes people don’t know who to talk and turn too. Hopefully they can find a place in this song that they can relate to and realize they are loved!”
