Stagecoach Invites ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Gang Back Next Year After Festival Weekend Stirs Up Offscreen Drama

"What happens at Stagecoach doesn’t always stay at Stagecoach," festival talent buyer tells Billboard following season premiere.

While the drama on ABC's summer hit series Bachelor in Paradise is typically contained to the beaches of Sayulita, Mexico, the primary scandal of Monday night's season 6 premiere took place in a much less tropical locale: the dusty desert of Indio, Calif., at April's Stagecoach country music festival.

In case you didn't watch it all go down, a refresher: Blake Horstmann, the heart-on-his-sleeve runner-up from Becca's 2018 Bachelorette season, found himself in an instant love pentagon on Monday's Bachelor in Paradise premiere, thanks to pre-summer flirtations with three contestants from Colton's Bachelor season -- Hannah Godwin, Tayshia Adams and Caelynn Miller-Keyes -- as well as Paradise vet Kristina Schulman (Nick's season). To make things more complicated, we learn during the premiere that he slept with two of the girls -- Miller-Keyes and Schulman -- on back-to-back nights during Stagecoach weekend.

Basically, Bachelor in Paradise couldn't have dreamed up this level of pre-show drama to set the table for the new season, and Stagecoach couldn't have dreamed up this level of publicity. In the clip below alone -- which clocks in at under three minutes -- "Stagecoach" is said three times.

Miller-Keyes even kept the Stagecoach horse galloping Monday night with this tongue-in-cheek tweet posted during the premiere:

For Stagecoach's part, the festival would gladly welcome the Bachelor gang -- who have become a social-media fixture at the spring festival over the past couple of years -- back to Indio next year to stir up even more drama for a potential season 7 of Paradise.

"As it turns out, what happens at Stagecoach doesn’t always stay at Stagecoach!" Stacy Vee, talent buyer for the festival, jokes in a statement to Billboard. "We are sorry to hear about the heap of trouble Blake has gotten himself into. Hopefully he can work it out and come and see us again this year -- we loved seeing the gang at the show!"

The second night of the two-night Bachelor in Paradise premiere airs Tuesday night (Aug. 6) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. In the meantime, here's Blake having the time of his life at Stagecoach 2019, headlined by the bro-country dream team of Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt and Jason Aldean.
