SoundExchange president and CEO Michael Huppe will join Billboard Latin Music week for the Executive Q&A with Billboard Editorial Director Hannah Karp. The conversation providing an insider's view of "Latin Music’s Big Payout" will take place April 24 at 10:15 am in Las Vegas, at the Venetian’s Marcello Ballroom.
Huppe will talk about SoundExchange’s increasing payments to Latin artists and offer his perspective on Latin music’s increasing rise. According to SoundExchange, the Billboard Latin Music Awards’ top five nominees earned a 102% increase in combined payments from 2017 to 2018.
During the session with Karp, Huppe will also provide more general information about SoundExchange’s role in the music industry.
Returning for its 29th year, Latin Music Week features Q&A sessions and panels, including its signature "Star Q&As,” as well as panels focusing on streaming, videos, both mainstream and Latin collaborations and more.
