Pop producer Sophie — who has worked Charli XCX, Vince Staples and even Madonna — has confirmed that she's working with Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga.
In a video posted on Twitter, the futuristic Scottish electronic music producer replies to a fan who asks whether or not she is working with Lady Gaga on her new album.
“Yes,” she says in the video. “Whatever, you know. I'm working on a lot different things. If it comes out, that's cool.” Watch the clip here:
Sophie's debut studio album, Oil Every Pearl's Un-Insides, was released in June 2018. She has also worked alongside fellow producers Cashmere Cat, Diplo and Flume.
In Paper magazine's June cover story, Sophie talks about being a trans woman and how it affects her music.
“Transness is taking control to bring your body more in line with your soul and spirit so the two aren't fighting against each other and struggling to survive,” she said. “On this earth, it's that you can get closer to how you feel your true essence is without the societal pressures having to fulfill certain traditional roles based on gender.”
