Solange didn't hold back when it came to her epic performance as the musical guest on Monday night's (Dec. 2) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She ran through a stirring five-track medley of tracks from her 2019 When I Get Home album, which included "Taking on the Light,” “Things I Imagined,” “Down With the Clique," “Almeda," and "Binz."
The Houston native was flanked by a pair of vocalists and backed by a complete live band, who all donned matching black formal attire. There were also several dancers in white body suits graciously moving to their choreographed routine atop a stair structure. Toward the end of the performance, someone draped in glitter streamers hovered over Solange, which mimicked a scene from the When I Get Home film.
Fans should be on the lookout for the album's accompanying film to release on digital platforms at some point next week. "Ending the year in celebration of the release of the director’s cut of the WHEN I GET HOME FILM being released wide across digital platforms NEXT WEEK (cp time) w a very very special performance of songs from the album + new compositions! Can’t ty enough @fallontonight for this time to shiiiine," she wrote to IG.
