After dropping quite a few teases over the previous few days, Solange launched her new album on Friday (March 1).
Titled When I Get Home, the sweeping, formidable new LP options 19 tracks, together with “Down With the Clique,” “Dreams” and “My Skin My Logo,” in addition to 5 separate interludes and an intermission monitor referred to as “We Deal With the Freak’n (Intermission).” According to album credit, extra vocals are supplied by Tyler, the Creator ("Time (is)," "Down With the Clique"), Cassie ("Way to the Show") and The-Dream ("Binz") and a visitor verse from Playboi Carti ("Almeda").
The new album is Solange’s follow-up to 2016’s critically acclaimed A Seat on the Table, which earned her a Grammy Award for greatest R&B efficiency in 2017. She first addressed the album's creation in a profile in T Magazine (the model tome of The New York Times) final fall, saying the undertaking can be launched at "some mysterious and sudden second."
