Sofi Tukker's 'Batshit' Returns to No. 1 on Top TV Commercials Chart for May 2018

Plus, Alicia Keys & Brenton Wood debut with classics.

Si Tukker, the dance duo made up Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, spends its second consecutive month at No. 1 on Billboard & Clio’s Top TV Commercials chart, powered by Shazam, as “Batshit” tops the May ranking after its appearance in Apple iPhone 8’s “Red” commercial.

Using tagging data from Shazam, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music, Billboard partners with Clio Music each month to present a chart ranking the top songs in commercials. Rankings exclude any song that has recently charted within the top 40 the Billboard Hot 100 or top 10 on a genre chart.

Si Tukker also ruled the November 2017 chart, with “Best Friend,” featuring NERVO, The Knocks and Alisa Ueno. The track was recently used in film Ocean’s 8.

“Batshit” (which was edited to “That’s It I’m Crazy]” for commercial use) leads all songs in May with 122,000 Shazam tags, 8,000 downloads sold and 1.7 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music.

The song peaked at No. 16 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated April 28).

Elsewhere, Alicia Keys’ former No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit, “No One,” debuts at No. 5, thanks to its appearance in Tiffany & Co.’s “Holding Hands” commercial.

The song, which spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, earned 9,000 Shazam tags, 3,000 downloads sold and 7.1 million U.S. streams in May.

Finally, Brenton Wood’s 1967 hit “The Oogum Boogum Song” debuts at No. 7, thanks to its appearance in Macy’s “Summer Fashion” ad.

The song, which reached No. 34 on the Hot 100 and No. 19 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts in June 1967, is the oldest song on the ranking, and earned 21,000 Shazam tags, 4,000 downloads sold and 1 million U.S. streams in May.
