Two-and-a-half years in the past, Michael “Mikey” Foster, 31, and Charles “Scootie” Anderson, 26, moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles with the hope, says Foster, of largely “understanding extra about music.” Though every had flown west individually and had met solely as soon as earlier than, they quickly discovered themselves housed beneath the identical Sherman Oaks roof, residing amongst a collective of musicians.
They rapidly fell into the rhythm of their new house, every day starting with breakfast downstairs and infrequently a spherical of pictures from no matter bottle was available. Upon first hear, Malik Rasheed, head of A&R at SB Projects, recommended placing Lil Yachty on it. “We met him for the primary time at our video shoot,” says Anderson. “He was tremendous cool, had like 20 containers of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with him.”
