There are few events in New York City more uniquely suited to please fans of drag and music than the annual Bushwig Festival in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Stacked with a bevy of drag stars, local artists and some of the best up-and-coming talent in the music scene, Bushwig has a reputation for throwing a great party.
That's certainly true for Bushwig 2019. In an exclusive announcement to Billboard, the festival revealed that artists Slayyyter, Mykki Blanco, Aja, and Fischerspooner's Casey Spooner would lead their music lineup. Other artists in the festival's lineup will include pop newcomer Gregory Dillon and ambient pop producer Magda.
The announcement comes following the event revealed their official lineup of drag queens, including Drag Race stars like Nina West, Thorgy Thor, Scarlet Envy and Tammie Brown, along with New York legends like Lady Bunny and Horrorchata.
This year's Bushwig will mark their eighth festival since being founded in 2012, with last year's becoming their biggest yet, drawing crowds of over 4,000. The festival was also recently featured in the HBO documentary Wig.
