Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons recorded just one point in 31 minutes action in Boston last night, something he contributed to “overthinking.” Simmons only took four shots throughout the entire game and turned the ball over five times as the Celtics overcame a 22-point deficit to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Boston was physical with Simmons in Game 2, limiting him to just seven drives to the basket, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Still, Simmons says his 1-point performance was more self-inflicted than anything that the Cs threw at him.
It’ll be interesting to see how the rook responds in a pivotal Game 3 in Philly tomorrow night.
