Shooter Who Ambushed Floyd Mayweather's Entourage Fired 12 Shots: Report


New details have emerged regarding an Atlanta area shooting in which Floyd Mayweather and members his entourage were targeted, and one Mayweather’s bodyguards was shot.

According to TMZ Sports, the shooting took place outside the Intercontinental hotel in Buckhead Atlanta at around 3am on April 9, just as a vehicle carrying the retired boxer entered the valet area the hotel. The report states, “Another vehicle pulled up beside them at the intersection Peachtree Road and Highland Drive and fired several times at one the vehicles. All three vehicles fled and reported being followed for a distance.”

According to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports, police recovered 12 shell casings at the crime scene, located right next to the hotel where Floyd was staying. Eight the bullets struck the vehicle that was transporting Floyd’s hulking bodyguard Greg La Rosa, who was shot in the leg during the chaotic scene.

TMZ reports that a total six people were in the vehicle with La Rosa, but he was the only one who was hit. He has reportedly been released from the hospital and is at home recovering. The shooter is still at large.
