Proving the 80’s new wave is in full impact, Sharon Van Etten gave a captivatingly emotive efficiency of her rocking observe “Comeback Kid,” on Monday evening’s (March 18) The Tonight Show.
Her eyes open large and fist often clenching to punctuate the pressing vocals, the singer commanded the stage bathed in flashing multicolored lights as she rocked out to the thunderous beats from her reside band whereas belting out the observe's emotional lyrics.
“‘Hey, you're the comeback child’/ See me look away, I'm the runaway/ I'm the stay-out-late, I'm recovering/ Kid on the high of our road/ I used to be considerably like him, I used to be anyone,” she sang in a generally hoarse shout that drove house the music's no wave edge.
“Comeback Kid” is the primary single from Van Etten’s album Remind Me Tomorrow, which was launched in January.
