Selena Gomez Rules Streaming Songs For First Time With ‘Lose You to Love Me’

Gomez’s new single exceeds the No. 4 peak of “Come & Get It” in 2013.

Selena Gomez doesn’t just have her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the Nov. 9-dated charts — she also finds herself atop Streaming Songs for the first time.

“Lose You to Love Me,” the lead single from Gomez’s upcoming third solo studio album, launches 20-1 on Streaming Songs with 38.4 million streams in its first full tracking week of activity, according to Nielsen Music.

That’s a 154% increase over the Oct. 18-24 tracking week, which saw “Lose You to Love Me” gather 15.3 million streams despite being released on Oct. 23, giving the song just two days of data toward the Nov. 2 Billboard charts.

With “Lose You to Love Me,” Gomez nabs her first Streaming Songs No. 1, exceeding the No. 4 peak she claimed with “Come & Get It” in May 2013.

The new song is also far and away the biggest one-week streaming count for a Gomez song, exceeding an amount of 30.8 million achieved by DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki,” on which Gomez was featured alongside Ozuna and Cardi B, for the Nov. 3, 2018, chart.

Gomez becomes the seventh artist to rule Streaming Songs for the first time in 2019 as a lead artist, following Lil Tecca, Lil Nas X, Jonas Brothers, Swae Lee, Travis Scott and Mariah Carey.

A second Gomez track also reaches Streaming Songs; “Look At Her Now.” bows at No. 18 with 18.8 million streams in its first full week after premiering on Oct. 24.
