Sacramento Kings Partner With Black Lives Matter Amid Stephon Clark Protests


The Sacramento Kings have partnered with the Build. Black. Coalition and Black Lives Matter Sacramento amid protests in the wake the police shooting Stephon Clark. The Kings formed this partnership in an effort to “fundamentally transform Black communities through deep investment in Black youth.” 

Kings players Vince Carter and Garrett Temple, as well as former Kings guard Doug Christie, will participate in an event on Friday titled "Kings and Queens Rise: A Youth Voice Forum for Healing" at a local church. 

According to the ficial press release,

Additionally, the Kings are also creating an education fund for Clark’s two kids.
