'RuPaul's Drag Race:' Gay Twitter Reacts to Last Night's Shocking 'Lip Sync For Your Life'

There is nothing better about RuPaul’s Drag Race than witnessing a satisfying, gag-worthy “Lip Sync For Your Life.” This season has already had a number wonderful lip sync moments (we are still not over Monét X Change’s fake jump split in episode three), and last night’s (May 17) episode Drag Race gave us yet another one.

After two lackluster performances in this week’s “Breastworld” acting challenge, the season’s two Tennessee queens, Eureka O’Hara and Kameron Michaels found themselves on the bottom two. Dressed in full-on old lady drag, the pair began their lip sync to Patti LaBelle’s hit dance single “New Attitude.”

Both queens turned out every trick they had in their book. Kameron delivered a high energy performance, complete with ridiculous hair-whips, hilarious comedic timing and a number stunts. Eureka’s performance started out more subdued, but she quickly erupted into high kicks and splits (one that was even simultaneous with Kameron’s) to show the judges that she was worth saving. At the end it all, RuPaul found that she had no other choice and decided that based on their fabulous lip-syncing skills, both the queens would remain in the competition.

Naturally, as soon as the double “Shantay, you stay,” was announced, fans took to Twitter to express their pure shock. Some were pleased with the result, declaring this one the best Drag Race lip syncs all time. Others felt that the double win was unearned. Either way, here are just a few Billboard Pride’s favorite reactions to last night’s Lip Sync for Your Life on RuPaul’s Drag Race:

that lip sync was fantastic. Kameron Michaels- she shook!! #DragRace ❤️ pic.twitter.com/8ZKJiVuf61

Kameron won that damn lip sync fair and square. Not worthy a double shantay. Eureka should’ve gone home. #DragRace pic.twitter.com/NERm5vQsBf

At least now we know that if there's a lip sync smackdown in the finale Kameron will probably be the winner #DragRace pic.twitter.com/2HK59UmHxb

The bandwagon hate for Eureka is ridiculous duh Kameron won the lipsync that's why Ru called her name first but if you think Eureka didn't turn it you're crazy #Dragrace pic.twitter.com/Y2I57xxdSh

Oh…no ones going home you say? Eureka is staying even though Kameron slayed her because that’s what a lip sync should ‘look like’ you say? Yet Dusty went home when you said the same for her lip sync against Monét… #DragRace pic.twitter.com/ugimwJ0LpO
